The owners of Studio West, husband and wife team Alejandro & Ciara have been in the glass industry 10+ years. Ciara is originally from Ireland and came to the United Staes as an exchange student where she met Alejandro at S.I.U.C Ilinois where they were both studying a major in glass. Ciara returned home to Dublin to complete her degree at the National College of Art and Design and Alejandro completed his degree at S.I.UC. After graduating they were lucky enough to purchase Studio West together, shortly afterwards they married. Three years later they were blessed with their little boy Oliver and decided to close the doors of Studio West in downtown Eugene to concentrate on being parents. Since then Ciara has had a career in interior design and Alejandro is the glass technician at the wonderful Craft Center at the University of Oregon. They have both decided its time to get back to what they truly love and are glad to announce the re-opening of Studio West in the beautiful new location of Lorane Highway.

I was trying to sell my daughter on Eugene as we were on a college tour and booked the 3 of us a glassblowing class at Studio West as a "bonus" for the weekend. It worked~ The staff were amazing and we not only had a fantastic afternoon but walked away with some awesome mementos from our venture. - KLVERGIRL, C.A
We were looking for something fun and different to do while spending some time in Eugene OR. My daughters loved it and we all learned a lot about glass and then got to take home our hand blown ornaments. Fun, entertaining, hands on, different. A great afternoon. They were also very accommodating for my daughter in a wheelchair. - LOREE W, C.O

My family and I went to Studio West an made paperweights. The experience was like no other! Instead of just sitting and watching someone make glass they give you a hands on experience. - Ben Haller
We visited the studio for a 3 pm session. Ciara was our instructor. She was very knowledgeable and made it a FABULOUS on of a kind experience for our four children. Each of them made their own one of a kind ornament. They loved it and we all thought it was a wonderful experience!!!! It is a must do for sure!!! - Uptou
After reading the great reviews and fun experiences people had at Studio West four of us stopped by to check out the experience. Within minutes of meeting the owners we decided to try our hand at making some glass pieces. We enjoyed about 2 hours of time in studio learning about how the art of glass blowing works and how to be safe in the process. We now each have a piece of hand blown glass and great memories. Highly recommended. - Clarkdavid8 M.N
